Streamlining my branding on my website to attract new clients

Date: 11 March, 2020

I’m what you would call a Renaissance person, someone who has a lot of different creative loves. I created a website to showcase the highlights of all the major kinds of work I have done at www.dabblerscorner.com, which was my playful way of expressing how many things I’ve explored, but also the literal dabbing I do when I paint. The rainbow hand symbolizes my diverse loves and the healing nature of art.

While people tell me they love my site and my art, I find that they understand what I do when I show them my business card of just my portfolio paintings but are probably getting overwhelmed by choice on my site, or not convinced that someone could be a professional unless they focus on a few things. I’ve gone and tested out an alternate webhost, and in the process, tried narrowing down the copy – https://annalisa-rivera.constantcontactsites.com. I found that Wix gave me more features for less, and it was more accessible.

I need someone who knows branding to guide my ideas of in terms of things like:
Should I just go by my real name and drop the Dabblers Corner? My logo and colors are tied to the Dabblers Corner Idea, but I have an alternate logo idea if it is purely under my name.
Should I place all things other than my portrait paintings onto a freebie portfolio site (I have one on DeviantArt.com)? Or should I create a special landing page instead?
Some have said I should tell my story emphasizing that I am a disabled artist – I’m fine with disclosing and it is important to because my art takes time, but want to be careful it isn’t a pity party. I can easily help others craft their story, but I am having so much trouble expressing my own!
How do I transition my brand without losing existing fans?
I love doing portraits, especially non-anime cosplayers, reenactors, and other costumed folk. I’m not sure if I can also display other portraits/paintings I’ve done there?

I’m looking for someone who can work with me from remote (at least mostly so if not 100%) – I do Skype, Viber, and can utilize just about any service the pro would prefer. Phone and email works too!

Why Pro Bono?

I am a person with disabilities on SSDI working only 10 hours a week. My estimated earned income is about 4,000 a year - I'm hoping that my art, particularly my portrait paintings will not only be my therapy, but a means to support myself.
