I need Probono Representation

Date: 28 July, 2021

My name is April Taylor and I need Probono assistance in regards to a Homeownership program here in Greensboro NC who is backed by an Attorney and has scammed 50+ clients and possibly more.

I signed up for the NC Homeownership Center Credit Restoration Program in February 2020 due to I was in a Lease to Purchase Program and I had a deadline of June 2020. The NC Homeownership Center Credit Restoration program guaranteed a 120 day approval backed by the Attorney in office Kenneth A. Free with Knight & Free aka K Free Law. I had started training to be a Credit Repair Specialist myself at the time and was afraid I would miss my deadline. Steven Onyeberechi advised me that I needed to stop my training as it would affect my debt to income ratio with buying a home, and I did because I didn’t know any better at the time. I had to pay $500 before he would even start on my file. Which was paid on 2/25/20. My daughter in law and son also signed up and paid $500.

The communication was there at first but I had to keep calling, texting and/or emailing Steven Onyeberechi. As the 120 days past Steven Onyeberechi provided a letter on NC Homeownership Letterhead for me to provide to my Landlord whom I was doing the Lease to Purchase with, that stated that I would have my approval by July 2020. I called the hospital and had them pull some of my collections and I set it up on a payment plan therefore causing them to be deleted off my credit. Which Steven Onyeberechi later tried to take the credit for the deletions. I continued to try to make contact with Steven Onyeberechi and my daughter in law and I went to the then office location on 8/13/2020 at 2300 W Meadowview Drive Suite 206 Greensboro, NC 27407 and the whole office had been cleared out. We looked back at our Game Plan which listed our Preferred Realtor Geba McDaniels and went to her office location at Keller Williams 3150 N Elm Street, Suite 101 Greensboro, NC 27408 to be told by the front desk that they didn’t have a Steven Onyeberechi on the list and they called upstairs for Geba McDaniels and she stated that she didn’t know Steven Onyeberechi. I then advised front desk that if I didn’t get answers within the next few minutes I was calling the news station. Within the next few minutes I got a text message from Steven Onyeberechi giving me the new address of 503 W McGee Street Greensboro NC 27401 and in quote ” Please come and get your checks. So dumb. Just got approved for the hedge fund and you act like this. So ridiculous But that is okay Please come. I will be here until 5pm.

We went to the office and Steven Onyeberechi advised us that he had lost a family member to COVID and was no longer going to be doing Credit Restoration and would be outsourcing it to a company in GA that would be charging $2,500 but promised he would finish our file and would personally approve us for a Private Mortgage because that’s what he would be doing with the money from the Hedgefund. At that point I started my Credit Restoration training back and started working on my own credit without him knowing. I started my Business and went back to Steven Onyeberechi with a proposal as this was his second chance, that since he no longer would be working in Credit Restoration he could contract my Company for any remainder of his Clients and refer incoming clients. He offered for me to come in the office rent free so I could grow my Business as a separate entity as he stated that he was still working on my credit not knowing I was actually working on my own credit that’s documented and he was taking the credit for the deletions.

I didn’t know why my spirit said stay but I did because I was still a victim and I needed to know what was going on in that office. One day I mentioned the Realtor Geba McDaniels from Keller Williams and the Office Manager advised that Steven Onyeberchi and Geba McDaniels was husband and wife. At no point was there ever made mention that he was married to the Preferred Realtor. Another Realtor O’kelle Samuels on his Team came in with several complaints from her clients, Steven Onyeberechi asked that Realtor and I to call to see if the Clients wanted to Continue services with my Company or if they wanted a refund. It was then that I found out about all the other 40+ clients that had been scammed as well. Over 17 clients wanted to continue with my Company and the rest wanted refunds. Steven Onyeberechi was to pay me upfront $4,000 as the contract stated and he did not. I was in the office from the end of October 1st to November 21st. Up until November Steven Onyeberechi provided me with a Prequalification letter for $225,000 and showed me and my then other half several homes knowing all along that this Prequalification was indeed fraudulent which we found out later. Before leaving that office a meeting was called and I was confronted by Steven Onyeberechi in a meeting for mentioning my concerns of Fraudulent Activity to Attorney Kenneth A. Free. It was never meant for me to be in that office but only to enlighten the Attorney and everyone else of the fraudulent activities that I witnessed and gathered evidence of before leaving that office. One being a Fake Prequalification letter which meant not only was the Homeownership Center and Attorney office involved but now a Loan Officer from Fairway. And when I and another client called and questioned Bradford Thomas about our concerns with Steven Onyeberechi all communications was ceased for me and the client and her husband.

I emailed Steven Onyeberechi a list of everyone that he owed a refund to 12/4/2020 and advised him of the fact that I was never paid for taking on his Clients from the Homeownership Center. I took on these clients in addition to the clients I already had as they were victims like me whom I thought they knew I didn’t get paid so when they asked I advised them that I never got paid but that I would continue on their file. The $4,500 I put down on the Lease to Purchase was forfeited because the letter from NC Homeownership was not honored by July 2020 and the fact that Steven Onyeberechi knew this Prequalification letter was fraudulent and he took me around to see other houses, this also happened to other clients, clients were also being displaced from their homes, having to move with family, extend their leases or find new homes because they too was lied to as well as I truly trusted this man and I prayed for him for months as I continued working the clients file which the Realtor O’Kelle Samuels portrayed that she no longer had contact with Steven Onyeberechi and that she would assist with the clients and was paying into my system to train to assist with the clients but she never did. I received calls from some clients advising me that they didn’t think I should trust the Realtor O’kelle Samuels and they no longer wanted her to be their Realtor.

I am a Disabled Breast Cancer Survivor who is still on Preventative medications and I have PTSD, Anxiety and Depression amongst other disabilities. I became overwhelmed along the way and had a setback and became consumed with doing everything I could to get all the evidence I needed before leaving that office possibly incriminating myself….Researching and Finding all I could on Steven Onyeberechi and he has been scamming for years under different company names. My research dates back to fraudulent activity as far back as 2006 to current. Murphy vs Allstate

In being so consumed with all of this I got behind on updating my system for my clients including myself. Even though I am catching up my system my Clients have still been seeing results since they started and currently.
After the advisal of an Guest speaker that attended my church who is an Attorney but now is on the City Council, I sent out an email to Steven Onyeberechi, Attorney Kenneth A. Free, O’Kelle Samuels and blind copied all 40+ clients. Steven Onyeberechi responded just like I knew he would which was using personal information that clients confide in him with and throw it back in their face. The email was almost identical to a client that complained last November but in her email he called her and her husband credit criminals and in my email he called me crazy. After my email the clients called and/or emailed me with the true amounts that they paid with supporting documentation. Clients advised that the Realtor O’kelle Samuels stated that she had been assisting me with their letters and tried to mislead them into thinking I wasn’t doing their files and that clients had been requesting refunds which was all untrue. When I asked Realtor O’kelle Samuels she denied everything not knowing that one of the clients had sent me a recording. I was advised that the Realtor O’kelle Samuels never stopped going to the office or to Steven Onyeberechi’s home as her fiancé and Steven Onyeberechi were Business Partners. Again this is someone else I trusted as she had access to my system, all my software and I was literally sending her demos on a free credit repair course and academy that I had developed for the clients that I had not even launched yet and to even think Steven Onyeberechi could have access to all these things I just can’t even imagine.

The Victims of this man’s demise range from $150-$32,000 and the oldest being 71 years old. Steven Onyeberechi told us that nothing is going to be done and that it’s just a civil case and basically the same process as when we dispute items on our credit is basically the same process we will go through. He also stated that I would not get my refund, some will and some won’t, which is just unacceptable. Clients have advised me that the Realtor O’kelle Samuels has even advised them that if they don’t talk to him nicely or email him nicely Steven Onyeberechi stated that they would not get a refund. O’kelle Samuels further advised the clients that she can do their emails for them and once they get their refund they would have to sign a non disclosure form. I advised the clients that, that is a way to silence them and that I would do all I can and I would be their Advocate in assisting them in getting their refunds and will start a Class Action Lawsuit if we have too. I also advised them that yes it started out as Civil but the fraudulent documents and unlawful acts makes it criminal. I worked at the Bank for 7 years. This is a White Collar Crime. There has been known and documented fraudulent activity and not just taking people money. I have a list of clients with emails and phone numbers and supporting documentation. Please help at what point will this NIGERIAN SCAMMER BE STOPPED? As an Attorney Kenneth A Free was advised of past and ongoing complaints and he has still allowed the NC Homeownership Center Steven Onyeberechi to operate in his previous location and current location to scam people taking their hard earned money using his Attorney Letterhead and signature on documents. Where is his legal obligation to the public as this is a disservice to the people?

This Nigerian scammer who also goes by the name of Steven Chinedu Onyeberechi born as Chinedu Onyeberechi. I also found out that when he signed me up for his Homeownership program along with 99 other clients he had pending charges at the time for several counts of Felony computer accessing, felony obtaining property under false pretense and worthless checks for millions of dollars and had a secured bond of $5,000 and some where $1. How is that even possible? Again the Attorney that backs his Business which they are located in the same office wife is a Judge at the same courthouse. I researched all his LLC information for all the many Businesses that he created every 2 to 3 years, most of them being suspended for Revenue Suspension after he fail to do Annual Reports but I have documentation that he was bringing in over a million a year and he told me out his own mouth that none of his assets was in his name and that they were all in his wife’s name. Some of the clients advised that they didn’t even know the Realtor was his wife until all this came out as they never disclosed they were husband and wife.

Again He is in an office with an Attorney and this keeps happening over and over again. Since I no longer been quiet I have received an email from the Attorneys Attorney Charlene Armstrong advising me not to talk or mention the Attorney or they will sue me financially and for defamation of character and that another Attorney Jan Pritchett advised them that I contacted his firm for a consultation. So now I know why I can’t even get a consultation because this Attorney is well known and his wife is a Judge at the Greensboro Courthouse. I have since found out that the attorney Charlene Armstrong that is representing Attorney Kenneth A Free is located in the same office as he and Steven Onyeberechi and that Attorney Jan Pritchett’s daughter Kailey Pritchett is actually Attorney Kenneth A Free Goddaughter.

My court date was scheduled for July 21st and the NC Homeownership Center nor the Attorney that backs his program showed in court but I was advised that they were asking for a dismissal on the grounds that the Name and address was incorrect on the summons which was incorrect because I worked in the office and tried to explain that the information was just another ploy for me not to be heard. I was advised that they would continue it to August 31st but the information needs to be correct or they will ask for a dismissal again.

Again Steven Onyeberechi is committing White Collar Crimes which no longer label it as a civil matter. AGAIN PLEASE HELP US!!!! YOU WILL HAVE ALL THE VICTIMS YOU NEED TO SPEAK TO. I have also filed complaints against the NC Homeownership Center with the FTC, CFPB, Real Estate Commission, NC DOJ, and the Bar Association.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!

Sincerely,

April Taylor

Why Pro Bono?

I am a Disabled Breast Cancer Survivor who is still on Preventative medications and I have PTSD, Anxiety and Depression amongst other disabilities. I started my Credit Restoration business off of my disability in September 2020. Because of people like the Homeownership Center this is my why. As I stated above, I became overwhelmed along the way and had a setback and became consumed with doing everything I could to get all the evidence I needed before leaving that office possibly incriminating myself....Researching and Finding all I could on Steven Onyeberechi. In being so consumed with all of this I got behind on updating my system for my clients including myself. Even though I am catching up my system, my Clients still see results since they started and currently. I am even behind in my billing not even noticing when payments where not made. My income is limited. I already have lost out on the $500 fee I paid to the Homeownership Center, $4,500 forfeited after the Homeownership Center failed to honor the letter they provided to my Lease to Purchase program of having me approved in 120 days or less and the $4,000 for the Continuation of Clients from the Homeownership Center that I was never paid. I have since had to move and the market is extremely high. I had to pay a deposit of $3,100 to a Property Management that is also taken advantage and because I know my rights and the rights of the other tenants which have been violated the City and Legal Aid is involved with that and still with my Health Conditions Property Management is taking their time with repairs and with the Mold that I and my daughter with asthma have to breath on a daily basis. I can provide documentation of all of this and the details from my Help Request. Again I am begging and pleading for someone to please help. I have done most of the research. Because of my past education and experience I am very detailed in researching and everything I do. I collected documentation, and documented in the CPS case with my Granddaughters mother and had over 300+ pages. We came to a decision and I created legal documentation that was signed by the Judge in Mediation and my son and I share custody of my Granddaughter and her mom has visitation. Same thing with my car accident that I sustained my back injury while under Radiation Treatments. My Attorney then told me that I was so detailed and organized with all my paperwork that I had documented and provided and with my passion to help people, that I should think about pursuing a career as a Paralegal/Legal Assistant. I am now looking into that. But right now I just don't know all the legalities of having to go up against Steven Onyeberechi who continues to slip through the cracks with him being in the office with this well known Attorney whose wife is also the Judge at our local courthouse.
